Testimonials — See what our guests are saying about Parakai Springs Lodge

We wanted to escape Auckland for a night without having to travel too far. What a find this place was. An easy drive from Auckland city with plenty of wineries to choose from to stock up from and even though only 45 odd minutes from home it felt like we were miles away. The rooms were well presented and spotlessly clean. We had a dip in the main pool (which was nice) but you cant beat the glass of wine in your own hot pool on the deck right outside the room. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back.

Room Tip: Go for a ground floor room - cant beat having a private pool!

This lodge is wonderful! I wish we had stayed more than just the one night. Everything is spotlessly clean, the spa bath is wonderful, beds comfy, and we love the outdoor pool and spa! It is definitely an oasis of paradise in Parakai. It felt like we were in a resort, we were very happy and felt very safe with the private entrance. Colin the manager was great too!! Thanks for having us we will be back.

I cannot praise Parakai Springs Lodge enough! It was my first trip to New Zealand and my partner and I decided to spend a quiet weekend outside the city of Auckland. This lodge definitely gave us what we wanted! It has all amenities you could ever want for a romantic getaway!

First of all, it is gated, which is an added benefit and helps its guests feel very safe. Upon arrival, I could tell right away that the lodge was very clean and well kept. The staff are very friendly and made us feel right at home. The lodge had a stove and fridge, and all the necessary items if you wish to cook during your stay there. The bed looked wonderfully made and gave the room a very luxurious feeling. In addition to this, there was a spa tub in the bathroom, which is always fun. All the toiletries provided were all natural and organic, and as a Californian, I appreciated this immensely and even asked for where I could find the same brand.

The main attraction of the room was our own private geothermal pool outside, since we got one of the rooms on the first floor. This was my first experience with this type of pool and I absolutely loved having it conveniently outside my own room! Since it was winter season when I visited, I especially enjoyed being able to soak in the hot pool and not having to worry about walking wet in the cold afterwards. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience that I encourage everybody-and every couple-to have. It was extremely relaxing and it was nice seeing a different part of New Zealand that I would not have seen otherwise.

My partner and I desperately needed a break from our busy city lifestyle, and a good friend of ours recommended that we ought to check out Parakai Springs Lodge – and we did.

The road trip itself to the lodge was quite scenic and relaxing, while the lodge way exceeded our expectation. We were impressed with the security around the vicinity as the whole complex is gated. It was absolutely immaculate and appears as new (I understand that it has been only open for about 12 months). We had a beautiful spacious room, furnished with an impressive king-size bed, cooking utilities (for two), TV, fridge and a small dining table for two. We enjoyed our own private, outdoor geothermal pool, and took advantage of the spa bath in the bathroom as well.

Across the road from the lodge is the Parakai Springs pool. While parts of it is in the process of being renovated, when completed it will offer a superb place to relax at the pool side with bar and restaurant/café facilities.

Due to family commitments, we just could not extend our stay as much as we wanted to – but we enjoyed it so much that we plan to bring our family members as well, especially our nieces and nephew.

I certainly will highly recommend Parakai Springs Lodge for anyone considering a relaxing stay away.
